Three Generations of Excellence in Publishing

Nicky "Shadrock" Porter was a very popular and well-known entertainer in Guyana and the Caribbean. Those who knew "Nicky" will notice the transformation of this man, from a street kid to what he has become today a great Author, Educator, and Lecturer. Taking quantum leaps from his youth in the ghettos of Albouystown, Guyana, during the1950’s, to his music career in the 60/70’s all the way to his spiritual path and message at this current time.

Thirty years ago, Shadrock Porter penned his first magnum opus, "The Truth, the Lie, and the Bible," a groundbreaking work that shook the foundations of conventional thought. Exploring the profound relationship between the Bible and the Black Man, Shadrock's enlightening message revealed the enlightenment and revelation about The God of Israel as depicted in the scriptures. It quickly soared to become Fifth Ribb's flagship bestseller, touching the lives of countless readers worldwide.

Building upon the resounding success of his initial masterpiece, Shadrock Porter continued to expand Fifth Ribb's literary legacy with awe-inspiring titles such as "The Forgotten Israelites" and "The Spirit of Egypt in America." These monumental works solidified Fifth Ribb Publishing as the premier home of the first Israelite books, leaving an indelible impact on the hearts and minds of readers across the globe.

The leadership torch was subsequently passed to Shadrock's daughter, Pamela Blair, who fearlessly carried forward her father's vision. In an era dominated by self-publishing and Amazon, Pamela faced the daunting challenge of protecting her father's original works from plagiarists and exploiters seeking to distort his profound messages. Nonetheless, these extraordinary titles have persevered, transcending boundaries and touching lives in all corners of the world.

Driven by her own experiences as a parent, Pamela expanded Fifth Ribb's collection to embrace the power of representation in literature. Recognizing the profound impact of seeing oneself reflected in the Bible, she authored captivating children's books such as "Abraham," "The Creation Story," and "The Story of Jacob." Through these enchanting tales, black children discover heroes who resemble them, igniting within them an unwavering belief in their limitless potential.

Now, the reins of Fifth Ribb Publishing have been passed to the dynamic and visionary third generation, Naomi Blair, a recent graduate from the esteemed Washington University in St. Louis. Guided by a burning passion to perpetuate her family's legacy of empowering minds and inspiring souls, Naomi has taken the helm, infusing new vigor into the journey. Under her astute leadership, Fifth Ribb embarked on an ambitious project, reprinting Shadrock Porter's original Israelite books, ensuring that their timeless wisdom continues to resonate with readers.

Ever pushing the boundaries of creativity, Naomi has also expanded Fifth Ribb's catalog, enriching it with captivating titles like "The Hidden Secrets of True Israelites" and "Let The Bible Do The Talking." Additionally, she has curated a remarkable children's book titled "Young Doc Jax" and a soul-stirring poetry collection named "Wildflower." With her youthful spirit and unwavering dedication, Naomi Blair is resolute in her commitment to carry forward her family's enduring legacy, empowering minds, and inspiring souls for generations to come.
